Discounted Wheel Warehouse is an online retailer specializing in wheels and tires for cars, trucks, and SUVs. They have a large selection of tires for different terrain, including those for snow, mud, highways, and offroad. Their collection of wheels comes in various styles, including chrome, bronze, and machined finishes. They also provide complete wheel and tire packages, along with services to ensure proper fitting for vehicles.
Goals
Discounted Wheel Warehouse aims to boost its online presence and establish itself as a trusted brand in the tire and wheel retail industry. The goal is to keep growing revenue through organic search by targeting Bottom of Funnel (BOFU) keywords.
Our link building strategy for this site also focused on improving the rankings of collection and product pages, ultimately leading to a dramatic increase in sales.
What We Did

High-Quality Backlinks
We worked on a focused link-building project to help Discounted Wheel Warehouse improve their online visibility in the tire and wheel market and attract more purchases.
To achieve this, we focused on building quality links from high-authority digital PR websites related to the wheel and tire niche.
Starting in July 2024, our efforts led to the creation of 244 high-quality backlinks from relevant industry sites and blogs. This major growth has boosted their search engine rankings and established their brand as a more credible presence online.
Targeted Product Pages with High ROI Potentials
We identified high-volume keywords relevant to product pages that get the most visits on the site, uncovering their search volume, keyword difficulty (KD) and user intent.
- These keywords were categorized into transactional (e.g., buy black rhino kelso wheels) and informational (e.g., Wheels and tires packages), helping us align each high-ROI keyword with the approriate stage of the buyer’s journey. By analyzing search volumes, these keywords were mapped into specific product and category pages.
- We also prioritized a solid internal linking structure by connecting related product pages to their category page. For example, product pages like “Black Rhino Armory Wheels” linked back to the main “Black Rhino Wheels” category. Contextual anchor texts were used to optimize these links.
- As part of efforts on Schema Markup, we also added structured data such as product titles, specifications, price and rating to these product pages to improve visibility in search results with rich snippets.
This strategy not only improved the rankings of product pages but also ensured a seamless user journey, which boosted conversions.
Strategic Guest Posting
Additionally, we created valuable, expert-written content such as buying guides, reviews, and in-depth articles on tire care, leveraging high value primary keywords (such as best snow tires and best all-terrain tires). The focus was on strategic guest posting as part of our targeted link building approach.
We started by identifying authority platforms catering to the automotive, off-roading and customization industries, targeting websites with high domain authority to ensure backlinks would carry significant SEO value.
The topic ideas developed for this strategy was broadly categorized under educational (e.g., how much are rims for a truck), transactional (e.g., best all season tires for snow), and problem-solving articles (e.g., 10 best way to clean chrome rims). However, most of the content implemented was transactional.
These articles were well optimized for on-page SEO, including title tags, meta descriptions, proper Header tags, alt texts for images, as well as secondary and LSI keywords. They also naturally included links back to Discounted Wheel Warehouse’s product and category pages (not just homepage), using optimized anchor texts.
Leveraging the Proven Strategy for Other Pages
Seeing how these efforts impressively boosted organic sales, we then focused on ‘low-hanging fruit’ keywords and collection pages like truck rims in September and pages like chrome wheels the following month. This ensured that we recorded success across the board.
The strategy remained to leverage the authority and traffic of established websites. It was guaranteed that the targeted pages will grow in organic visits, thus leading to more revenue.
